Congrats to Eric Chen

Congrats to Eric Chen of San Diego on winning the grand prize in Google Science Fair. Eric performed what appears to be an amazing amount of work, both computationally and experimentally, to discover novel influenza endonuclease inhibitors. In reviewing his slides, we at Acpharis couldn’t help but notice the use of CSMap and FTMap, the predecessor’s of Acpharis’s Atlas program in his work. While computational solvent mapping was just a small part of a large body of compuational work done by Eric, it is still very exciting to see solvent mapping highlighted on the global stage. Congrats again to Eric and his advisors, Rommie Amaro and Gen-Sheng Feng at UCSD.
